Marcus (Marc) Sachs serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Engineer at the Center for Internet Security. A retired U.S. Army officer and former George W. Bush administration White House appointee, he has held senior leadership roles at SRI International, Verizon Communications, the North American Electric Reliability Corporation, and Pattern Computer. Before joining CIS, he was Deputy Director for Research at Auburn University’s McCrary Institute for Cyber and Critical Infrastructure Security. He holds a joint appointment with Idaho National Laboratory and is a registered Professional Engineer.
